Sci-Port Discovery Center employs more than 290 interactive exhibits to help children get involved in and excited about learning. Focused on math, science, computer technology and human health, children can explore simple machines like levers and pulleys, create animated figures using computers and see and touch live animals like snakes and turtles. Another key attraction at the center is the IMAX Dome Theatre, showing varied family-oriented films with an educational bent. Positioned on the riverfront in downtown Shreveport, the center is near the Multicultural Center of the South.
